Summary0000661: P5B Deluxe Fans 1 and 3 reading appear as 0 even though fan speed is 1200rpm
DescriptionOn my P5B Deluxe mobo, fans connected to chassis fan headers 1 and 3 appear as 0rpm. Only when I start up Asus PC Probe II will Speedfan start showing fan speeds. Chassis fan header 2 is fine, fan speed shows up as soon as Speedfan is started.

Essentially each time I start Speedfan, I have to start Asus PC Probe II as well or fan speeds from chassis fan headers 1 and 3 will appear as 0rpm.

Sometimes Fan 2 also shows up as 0 until Asus Probe II is run. As soon as all fan speeds show up, I can shut down Asus PC Probe II. This problem is only repeated if I restart my computer. Without restarting the computer, I can restart Speedfan as many times as I want without this issue.

Only the CPU fan speed shows up faithfully on every startup, the rest requires Asus PC Probe II to be run before they show up.

Enter CONFIGURE / ADVANCED and select a higher FAN DIVISOR. You can use REMEMBER IT to set it automatically in the future. Set it to 4 or 8. Basically, it is the BIOS that doesn't set those values to a reasonable setting.
