Description | Speedfan hangs and causes system to become unresponsive during startup phase of program. Problem occurs while probing SCSI bus with a RAID volume present. Non-RAID devices are discovered and report temperature data correctly. SCSI bus is U320 with Adaptec 39320A host adapter. Driver is Adaptec HostRAID a320raid.sys v3.00.036. | ||||
Steps To Reproduce | Reboot system. Start Speedfan from Run dialog, Explorer, or cmd line Speedfan/system hangs for approximately 5 minutes. Speedfan dicovery finish Speedfan runs normally. | ||||
Additional Information | Repeatable. Speedfan starts after exactly 4m 30s (on dual Xeon 3.20 system) | ||||

Reminder sent to: alfredo Hi Alfredo. I noticed looking at the bug listings there is another report of trouble with SCSI scan RAID volume. I would be happy if Speedfan 2.9 would start without hanging for 5 minutes initializing. What is the priority on this issue? Is this something that is easily fixed?
