Summary | 0000054: Access is denied on startup
Description | I have speedfan in my startup group to automatically adjust my fan speed based on temperature. I also have a program "rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation" running to lock my workstation on startup. When I unlock the workstation I find that I get a message box from speedfan saying "Access is denied" and speedfan is taking up 100% CPU. But if computer is starting up and I do not run the locking command it has no problems.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Place both speedfan and a shortcut "rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation" in your startup directory 2. Reboot or log off and log back in 3. wait for like 5minutes so everything can start up 4. Unlock the computer

This is an issue that I'm investigating. Unfortunately, the error message is highly generic and useless :-( Could you, please, tell me the content of the DEBUG.NFO file right before you press the OK button in the message dialog? |
