Summary | 0000452: "Priviliged Instruction" & "error in READTEMPSINTERNAL"
Description | Speedfan used to work perfectly for about a year up until last night, when I started the program I got a "Priviliged Instruction" Error and none of the stats appeared. If I try "Find SMBus Devices" I get the same thing. This is strange as Everest Home Editon can read the temperatures just find althought I question thier accuracy. When It Does Load I Get A Lot Of These and no Stats. "Winbond W83L785TS-S at $2E msg : error in READTEMPSINTERNAL LM75 at $49 msg : error in READTEMPSINTERNAL F75375S at $2E msg : error in READTEMPSINTERNAL Asus ASB100 at $2D msg : error in READTEMPSINTERNAL Asus ASB100 at $2D msg : error in READFANSINTERNAL Asus ASB100 at $2D msg : error in READVOLTSINTERNAL"
Steps To Reproduce | Start Program, Speedfan Window locks and turns White, Title becomes "SpeedFan - Application not Responding". Leave for about 1 minute. Error Box "Priviliged Instruction" or the log above.
Additional Information | Asus A7n8x-x, AMD Sempron 2600+ running @ 166Mhz FSB (Normal), 512+256Mb DDR400 Ram @ 200MHz. n-Force 2-400.

New Info: this seems to be linked to a GIVEIO Problem. when I use MBM5 with the service with the "System" option it gives "Priviliged Command" Error but when I start the service with the "Boot" option, then I dont get any problems. EDIT: btw I can't see "GiveIO" listed in the Services under Admin Tools, could this be a problem? (XPx86SP2) |

A lot of improvements were applied to SpeedFan. Is this bug still there or can I mark it as resolved? |
|
The issue appears to be resolved with me, no more errors in latest update. |
|
Good news. Thank you. |
