Summary | 0000447: Continues to display HD temps for eSATA hard drives that have been removed |
---|
Description | Speedfan continues to list an eSATA drive in the "Readings" tab that has been disabled and removed from the system. It appears to report the temperature from a different internal drive. The correct behaviour would be to detect the drive removal and stop reporting data from that drive. Of course Speedfan should also detect the hot-plug event when the drive is reconnected and start reporting too. |
---|
Steps To Reproduce | Boot system with removeable eSATA hard drive connected. Use SATA RAID management utility (its called that, but only have one drive connected) to disable the removeable drive. Physically disconnect from system. Speedfan continues to list that drive in the "Readings" tab, but appears to report the temperature from a different internal drive. |
---|
Additional Information | Using Vantec NST-360U enclosure, WD3200KS SE16 320Gb SATA 2 harddrive, Sil 3512 based eSATA PCI card. |
