I'll translate this one,because i have the same problem... If Speedfan runs,the HDD's don't shutdown anymore...This happens only if Temp monitoring on the specified HDD is enabled... |

After some more testing I can definitely say that Speedfan blocks shutdown (powersaving) of HDD. A wish for next version of Speedfan: start without SMART or set a time interval for reading SMART values, perhaps different for each HDD :-) |

Oh sorry, I just find out that speedfan can be strated with /NOSMARTSCAN. I think this solves my problem: HDDs now shut down. |
