| Description | Everest Home and ATITool is able to find sensor... GPU Sensor Type National LM63 (ATI-I2C 4Ch) and displays both GPU and GPU Ambient Temps for my Sapphire ATI X850XT. Speedfan 4.23 added full support for NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR LM99 and LM63. What can I do to help Speedfan detect LM63? | ||||
| Additional Information | This has become an important issue because mCubed T-Balancer recently added support on 10/27/05 to read temps from Speedfan. My CPU & GPU are watercooled and T-Balancer adjusts the radiator fans based on CPU & GPU Temps. But I cant seem to get GPU temps into Speedfan for my T-Balancer to read them. | ||||

Other people using Speedfan and X-series ATI video cards have stated that thier video cards temps are displayed as "Remote 1" & "Remote 2". My Speedfan shows a "Remote 1" & "Remote 2", but the temps are both 0c. |

Correction: My Speedfan Display shows "Local Temp" & "Remote Temp" both for LM84. Is this a mistake that it finds LM84 for X850 instead of LM63? or is this LM84 for something else completly? |

While SpeedFan properly handles the LM63, it still needs to be able to access ATI I2C bus. I'm actively working on this. |

Hey alfredo, it's been almost 4 years since you've been working on this one. SpeedFan doesn't detect LM63 on my Gigabyte Radeon HD4850 at all. If I could help you somehow on it, let me know. |

I found something interesting: the temperature readings don't come from the LM63. The LM63 on my GPU seems innaccessible through I2C (doesn't respond) and system reports 4 different temps for the GPU: Core, Shader, Memory and Display I/O, while LM63 provides only 2 temps (internal and remote, which means there would have to be 2-4 of them). Furthermore, a different monitoring app also reports no access to LM63 and uses some other mysterious source for those 4 temps. I'm curious how to access that source to read the tempz... |
