Summary | 0000338: SpeedFan doesn't always detect hardware
Description | Hi, Today I tried SpeedFan to control the fan of my laptop (Asus W2V). It worked like a charm. It detected two sensor chips: - IT8712F - ADT7463 I was able to succesfully configure them and control the fan speeds. However after rebooting and relaunching SpeedFan it will not detect the ADT7463 chip anymore, no matter what I try. If I remember correctly it was an SMBus device. I have enabled SpeedFan to access sensors both through ISA Bus and SMBus (I tried all combinations in fact). I also tried "Find SMBus devices", but it did nothing. Also (I don't know if this has anything to do with my problem), I get an error loading event every time I start SpeedFan: Error loading event --> CfgVersion=01.0001 EventsVersion=01.0001 Loaded 0 events Regards, Luuk
