Summary | 0000336: P4P800-E Delux - No fan speed control
Description | I used to have an Aopen motherboard and used the Silentec application supplied with the Aopen motherboard. With that app my PC was really really silent. I got a new motherboard (Asus P4P800-E Delux) and to my surprise there where no application supplied with that and the fans made more noise than I could ever imagine fans could. I found the Q-Fan option in the BIOS and that helped a little but far from enough. I went trough some forums and was directed to SmartFan, finally something that will do the trick! I was happy and downloaded the application, but it still won

I also have an Asus P4P800-E Deluxe. Automatic fan speed variation seems to work well on the CPU fan (1700 rpm max). However on the other 2 fans (1000 rpm max) the speed seems to stay constant at 980 rpm, even though they should have 30% of their max speed, as speedfan itself indicates. I am using version 4.26. |
