Summary | 0000334: No fan speed control
Description | Some users report that they can control fan speeds. Other report that they cannot. I do not expect you to know why the fan speeds cannot be controlled for my motherboard, however, if you were to provide a forum, end-users could communicate with each-ther regarding such issues. Anyway, great program, but sadly I need to spend some % to buy a fan speed control since the one I have isn't working and since my motherboard won't listen to what it is being told to do!

Fan control is possible if: - there is some chip than can achieve it - the manufacturer connected the relevant pins from that chip - the needed circuitry is on the motherboard - the BIOS properly configures the chip to allow fan speed changing. SpeedFan can fix the last point, but can do nothing for the other ones. If you are skilled enough, you can solder the relevant pins. Recent SpeedFan versions do have interesting options in CONFIGURE / ADVANCED to fix those settings not applied by the BIOS. |
