You found the proper fix. The BIOS should set FAN DIVISOR to, at the very least, 2. That parameter, basically, defines how fast the fan is expected to be, so that the hardware monitoring chip can use a proper timing interval to compute its actual speed. Not all motherboards can change fan speeds. Asus sometimes includes the needed circuitry and some others doesn't. |
