Summary | 0002715: Speedfan not registering Winbond w83677hg-i |
---|
Description | Speed fan is unable to recognize the onboard fan controller (Winbond w83677hg-i) and is unable to read fans, fan speed,or voltages. I set everything to manual and turned Q fan control totally off in the bios which did not change anything. I've also completely deleted and disabled all of the Asus fan control software which doesn't make a difference. I have also tried different motherboard fan headers. Currently, I have most of my fans attached to a powered fan hub plugged into my CPU header. all fans are 4 pin PWM |

Steps To Reproduce | Use the program |
---|
Additional Information | Something usual is one time it inexplicably worked. It saw all 4 four pin connectors plugged into the motherboard. But could only read the speed for two of them, and could only control one of them. After some tinkering I rebooted and it didn't see the controller anymore. This is a new system on the Z390 chipset. I had previously been on Z170 where it had worked fine. (I also submitted a report via SpeedFan) |
