Summary | 0002659: cannot reinstall speed fan after Windows update
Description | Windows did an update and moved everything to a windows.old directory. I wasn't using Speedfan at that time so I didn't even check to see if it had been moved or not. Apparently it had been moved and key files removed from the Windows directory. I now get the following error: Unable to install SpeedFan service into ervice database Installation is not complete... Renamed speedfan.sys and tried again, no luck I copied the speedfan directory from another computer and tried to run and got this error: Error <SPEEDFAN Driver Not Installed> Is SPEEDFAN service started? I am assuming it is either a signing issue, an issue with leftover files that Windows did not clear away when it removed SpeedFan when updating, or perhaps a permission issue. Can you please let me know if there are any files I can be finding for a manual uninstall or other remedies? I would really like to know what is happening with my fan on this new machine.
