Summary | 0002653: Unable to control fan speed on HP Carmel motherboard
Description | Hello, I'm kinda stuck here. I set the PWM to manual in the advanced settings but the PWM set on the main window does nothing, except at 0%, where the fans go full speed. If I switch to voltage mode, once again, they go full speed. Other than that I can't control them and the BIOS has full control. The system is a HP Pavilion HPE h8-1012c with a Pegatron "Carmel" motherboard: https://support.hp.com/ca-en/product/hp-pavilion-hpe-h8-1000-desktop-pc-series/5080764/model/5110075/document/c02831611 Unfortunately the idiots at HP have set the CPU and case fan to run at 1500RPM at tjmax, when really they should be running at 2000RPM at idle.
