Summary | 0002472: CPU temp incorrect on MSI X99S Gaming 7 MS-7885
Description | Speedfan is only picking up the processor socket temperature, and does not pick up an average internal processor temperature (It does pick up individual processor cores). The socket temp takes too long to change to make any reasonable fan curves, and the individual cores change to frequently to be of use. Hopefully there is something you can do to resolve this.
Additional Information | HWinfo reports a few other temp sensors that would work ok for fan curves. PP0, CPU Package, CPU (PECI). I attempted to send in a report using the automated system, but my computer locks up and has to be rebooted when the bus scan gets to $21. If you have a suggestion on avoiding that, I'll try and submit a report again. All of the 3 pin fans can be throttled down to 0% and stopped. PWM goes down to 20/30% duty cycle, and will not stop. All speed adjustments are smooth. Thank you so much for writing speedfan. It has let me really cut down on the noise coming from my computer, which really helps keep my tinnitus from acting up.
