Summary0002278: Sometimes blank white screens when loading up SpeedFan (believed to be crashing nVidia drivers)
DescriptionI log in, and I have set SpeedFan to load up after 30 seconds. Sometimes, when SpeedFan loads up, both of my monitors go blank, fully blank - often all white, sometimes different colours. I am led to believe the nVidia driver is crashing. Once I tried Ctrl+Alt+Delete, and the screen came back to life. I exited the Ctrl+Alt+Delete screen and a message popped up saying the nVidia drivers had "succesfully recovered." I am fairly certain SpeedFan is causing my nVidia drivers to crash.
Steps To Reproduce-SpeedFan open up after 30 seconds
-Nvidia card and drivers
-As many restarts and log ins as possible and see if my problem can be reproduced.
Additional InformationFeel free to contact me on my e-mail address for further info - I love SpeedFan, just it's really hard to use when this happens quite a lot!

Well, I got a screenshot of the crashing driver as today it seemed to recover after going to double black screens.

Thats exact my problem. Sometimes starting speedfan causes a fully blank screen (black or white) and the PC freezes. Then i have to hardreset my PC. I found out that all people having this problem are using a nvidia gpu.

I never have this issue and have a GTX 760.

Have you tried running DDU (http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html) then installing the driver?

@American: I think there is no need for using DDU. I'm running a fresh install of Win10 64 and my System has only seen 1 Nvidia Driver. I have never updated or changed this Driver-Version an I have exact the same issue.

With this issue, the using of SpeedFan is very painful. I have to save all my data before i start SpeedFan because I never know, will it start up correctly or will I get a blankscreen/system-crash.

Hope this issue can be fixed soon.
