|Summary||0002252: Speedfan Crashes on SMART scan|
|Description||Up until this morning SpeedFan would start normally with the SMART scan. It detected all drives perfectly. Today it crashed every time until I ran it with the /NOSMARTSCAN modifier.|
Seems strange to me that something that used to work no longer does. Is it a hardware issue or is it something fixable like a driver issue? I did like having HD temps through SpeedFan so I'm hoping for a fix. Uninstalling SpeedFan didn't help (although I kept the same old .cfg files).
If it matters other SMART tools like CrystalDiskInfo and DiskCheckup both report drives as normal.
