| Description | Speedfan cannot find any of the fans on the Asus Maximus VI Hero motherboard. This is a Z87 motherboard for the 1150 socket. It has headers for CPU-FAN, CPU-OPT, CHA-1, CHA-2, CHA-3. I also note that I have to start Speedfan with the /NOSCSISCAN switch or it causes a BSOD on Windows 8.1. | ||||

There's no support for chip on your motherboard (chip is Nuvoton NCT6791D), which controls fans, temps, etc. I have almost the same issue with my motherboard MSI Z87 MPOWER (chip is Nuvoton NCT6779D). :-( |

Same issue for all Asus Maximums Series VI motherboards (I have the Gene) with the Nuvoton NCT6791D. I've seen that lm-sensons has support for this SuperIO chip via: https://github.com/groeck/nct6775 which also states that the data sheet is available on request with an email contact, possibly it's not needed given the code there? I'd be very happy to donate to the cause of getting this SuperIO chip supported in speedfan. If you need anything from me to get this issue resolved please don't hesitate to contact me :) |
