Summary0002195: Faster Startup
DescriptionThe startup scans take too long during normal operation, well over 45 seconds.
Steps To ReproduceStart up SpeedFan
Configure a custom Fan Controller.
Close it.
Reboot.
Startup SpeedFan again. Wait 45+ seconds for it to scan all buses, all over again.
Additional InformationThis is more a feature and/or tweak request. Is it possible to lock in the found memory addresses after an initial scan? So that it a scan doesn't have to occur on every startup?

Say, a "cache of found addresses" kept in an INI or registry location, and a button to "Rescan" that refreshes that list manually?

Currently, my Asus Rampage IV Extreme shows the following:

Nuvoton NCT6776F
INTEL CORE

I use the Nuvoton NCT6776F to control the CPU PWM fan in my waterchiller, and I use the INTEL CORE to monitor the temps for that control.

If there is a way for my to disable these scans via the command line, and keep the functionality of these two, I will. I know the command line allows disabling of these scans, but I am not sure if it will allow me control over those devices if I disable the scans (maybe there already is a cache?).

Well, I will try disabling scans via command switches and see if it still works.
