Was SpeedFan working properly on that machine prior to the updates? |

Yes. It worked as a charm. I forgot to write that I also updated the motherboard BIOS (verP2.10). |

I'd like to add that I'm experiencing the same problem on an MSI Z77A-GD65 motherboard. Wiped the system clean when I couldn't figure out the source of the issue (and speedfan was scheduled to start on every login, duh on my part), installed intel rapid storage on a clean install, then speedfan. RST was running, speedfan was opened, and instant system crash again. Running the latest BIOS for this motherboard. |
