I can't see any attached picture, but you can perform the following test: start SpeedFan with the following command line parameter: /NOSMARTSCAN Is there any improvement? |

/NOSMARTSCAN fixed the problem for me. I had this same freezing problem with Speedscan 4.47 and 4.49 on win8 64-bit with ASRock Extreme4 Z77 mobo and Intel Intel i5 3570K CPU. It froze consistently after the Speedfan status read "Scanning Intel SMBus at $F040...". |

Old post with a new try. I ran the following in command prompt with Speedfan 4.49, Windows 8 64 bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\SpeedFan\speedfan.exe/NOSMARTSCAN The following message appears: ERROR<SPEEDFAN Driver Not Installed> Is SPEEDFAN service started? |
