|0002053: when 2 fans same speed, temp2 or cpu temp changes 13 degrees every couple seconds
|i have 2 fans exactly same, with 2 seperate but identical fan speed graph/controls, 1 connected to 4pin cpu fan header on board, amd C&Q turned off, all fan speed detect in bios disabled, other fan on 4pin sysfan1 on board, temps are labeled as Temp2, Temp1, fans labeled as Pwm1, PWM2, both are on IT8720F in speedfan.
my cpu is amd 965, board gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5. Both fans change speed at same time as each other, both fans have 2 speed control graphs under each in advanced control. When temp changes on cpu, both fans increase at same time, but the next second the temp drops 13 degrees in 1 second, and increases again to original temp in single second, this happens again 5 seconds later. The way to stop it from happening is to change one of the graphs.
|Steps To Reproduce
|put 1 fan on cpu fan 4pin connector on board, 2nd fan on sys_fan1 4pin connector on board. Configure button, fan control tab, check/tick advanced, click add button, give name, tick controlled speed, drop down list choose Pwm1 from IT8720F, method drop down list, Max of Speeds, click Add button, select Temp2, click Add button again, select Temp1. Follow these same steps for 2nd fan, except choose Pwm2. This will have 2 fan speed controls and graphs both identical for 2 fans.
When temp changes on southbridge/Temp1 or cpu/Temp2, the speeds change at same time, but then 1 second later temp1 or temp2 or both jump and drop 13 degrees and jump back to temp it was before, in same second, temps stable for 5 seconds, but then jumps down and up again, this happens every 5 seconds approximately. This does not happen every time, but it does happen 4 out of 5 times i reproduce the above.
