Summary | 0002020: Fan control only active if respective Pwm field is visible in main window (and Pwm needs to be set to "manual" control)
Description | For my mainboard, Speedfan offers Pwm1 to Pwm8. The four fans are connected to Pwm4 and Pwm7. The other Pwm channels are unused. Issues: 1. I have been able to control fan speed only after I had set the Pwm channels 4 and 7 to "manual" control in "Advanced" tab. It took me half an hour to find this tweak. Perhaps a hint to this should be added in the help file (or even the FAQ)? 2. Harder to find: By default, Speedfan displays only Pwm1 to Pwm6 in the main window due to lack of space (although all Pwms are ticked in Configuration). In this setting, only the fans that are connected to the (visible) Pwm4 are controlled. The others keep their default speed (though their control is set to "manual"). They are only controlled if I untick enough Pwms so that Pwm7 is also visible in the main window. However, the control should not depend on the visibility of the Pwm field, should it? If it is correct the way it is, this should be mentioned in the help file and the FAQ, I think.
