Summary | 0001966: Speedfan shows old WD sata at high temp
Description | Hi, moved all my old disks to a new system today: Asus P8P67 Deluxe B3 Rev 3.0 (updated to latest bios) All disks works fine but speedfan is showing that my old WDC WD2500YD-01NVB1 starts at much higher temp than the other disks, 40-45 compared to 20-25. This one get up to 54-56 degrees at idle, the other disks idle at around 30 degrees. The disk feels (!maybe!) slightly warmer than the others so it can't be as high as advSMART reports. The S.M.A.R.T-tab is showing Temp 96 / Worst 67 Atm I'm just ignoring it, setting alert temp to 60 degrees.
