| Description | I see from other bug reports that this should work, but it doesn't seem to work. I can control the Chassis fans using SPEED2, but no speed works to control the CPU fan on this board. I am using a 4 wire, PWM fan on the CPU header. The SuperIO chip is reported as a Winbond W83667HG. As similar, resoved bug is: http://www.bugtrack.almico.com/view.php?id=1222 I am pretty new to speedfan, but the interface is pretty straight forward. Please let me know what I can to do help as I'd like to be able to adjust my fans with the granularity that speedfan provides. qfan control is disabled in the BIOS. | ||||

I should note that I am determining if the fan speed is being controlled via the reported CPU fan speed. It never deviates from about 2200, but does reduce when qfan is enabled. |

After reading more bug reports, I decided to try to change the PWM modes. I was able to get the CPU fan to react to speedfan by changing all PWM Modes to manual. However, it seems then speedfan won't adjust the speed for me based on temp. Is that expected? Back to search... :) |

OK, so another note.. I started using the Advanced Fan Control instead of the "older" fan control. Speedfan is now controlling the fans according to the settings there. I am not sure why it wasn't throttling down the fans without using Advanced Control, but I guess it doesn't matter now :) |

I am happy to see that you found how to change fan speeds on your motherboard. If you would like to know how to automatically control fan speeds using the "old" method, you can find further info in the help file. I agree with you that having the Advanced method working makes that reading less interesting :-) |
