Summary0001888: Only 3 fan speeds effectively available on Dell Inspiron 1121
DescriptionI am very impressed by the fact that SpeedFan is able to control the fan of my new Dell Inspiron 1121 Laptop at all. However, SF effectively has only 3 fan speeds:

1) anything 0-33% keeps the fan completely off;
2) anything from 34-66% spins the fan at around 4000rpm;
3) anything from 67-100% spins the fan at around 5000rpm.

Without SF controlling the fan, the lowest the fan ever spins without being off is at about 2000rpm. I would really like SF to be able to force the fan to run at this lower speed.

I am happy to read that the latest beta can change fan speeds on your DELL. Did SpeedFan 4.44 already work?
Unfortunately, the limited choice of speeds doesn't depend on SpeedFan, but on DELL's routines.

Yes, SpeedFan 4.44 already worked, exhibiting the same behavior.
