Summary | 0001849: SpeedFan very slow to increase cpu fan speed on EVGA P55 series motherboards
Description | I don't remember this being the case in the past, but presently SpeedFan seems to take a very long to to spin up the CPU fan on my EVGA P55 SLI Micro board. Pretty sure it used to control the fan more quickly, but seems to have gotten slower recently without an explanation. I ran an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro and recently replaced that with a Freezer 7 Pro Revision 2 to see if that would change things, but it did not. It's so slow that the CPU can easily rise a large amount in temperature before the cpu fan slowly increases to the speed designated by SpeedFan. This issue is apparent whether SpeedFan is set to Manual or Automated control of the fan speed. Is there a setting somewhere in SpeedFan for a multiplier of the PWM fan control, so I can have SpeedFan send a stronger pulse increase in signal to somehow get the fan to speed up more quickly? Or perhaps a BIOS setting related to fan control that might resolve this?
