Summary0001677: Fan control is overridden by OS until fan speed is changed manually
DescriptionAfter startup or resume XP takes control over the fan until I go to the Speedfan window and manually change speed fan. After that everything works fine

Yes, I did all that. Everything works fine after starting Windows/BIOS. But after wakeup from sleep or Hybernate the fan speed field in Speedfan stays at "00" but the fan starts spinning, when Windows/BIOS thinks it needs to cool.

Well, Alfredo, I think the problem is: speedfan only sets the actual fan speed only when speed needs to be changed according to the settings and the resulting calculations.
On that toshiba series(which seems to be special, you remember this strange giveIO driver) Windows/BIOS overrides the fan speed, when it considers it necessary.
But fan speed does not force it again to its computed speed unless the computed value changes.

Solution: To me obvious solution would be, to include a switch into speed fan (like the Dell switch) which makes speedfan set the speed every 300mseconds or so, no matter whether the actual value has changed or not

Another prove of that theory:
I toyed around whith the new custom curve feature in beta4: and bingo:
I taylored the curve in a way that, around the temperature, where Windows/BIOS overrides the speed settings, the curve calculations change the speed settings often in small steps. In this case speedfan actually writes the speed very often to the driver and I hear the following:
The fan starts spinning (caused by Windows/BIOS) and it stops immediately, becaus speedfan sees a temperature change an changes fan speed slightly and actally wtites it to the driver.
