Summary0001623: Incorrect and non-functioning temperatures. Cannot detect/control any fans.
DescriptionI'm re-reporting my issue to better describe my problem(s). I'm also uploading a couple reports.

In either Windows XP or Windows 7, my ACPI temp, Temp1, does not update at all. It stays stuck at a certain temperature. Whether it's just come out of standby, has been running for hours, is running a Prime95 torture test, it always seems to stay the same. My HDD temp is the only one that ever updates. As for the the AMD K8 temp, the Core temp, it's stuck at a polar -56F...

Using CPUID HWMonitor, I am able to read the ACPI temperature normally, it updates just fine. The Core temp doesn't exist is HWMonitor.

I am also unable to detect any fans in the laptop. In the config dialog, "Fans", "Voltages", and "Speeds" tabs list nothing whatsoever. In the "advanced" tab, only the temperature offsets can be changed, for the only ones in the list, "HD0, ACPI, and AMD K8."
Steps To ReproduceSimply running Speedfan
Additional InformationI'm on an Emachines E627 laptop. It has a AMD K8 TF-20 1.6GHz CPU on Socket S1 (638), not overclocked (or overclockable for that matter). 2 gigs of ram, ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics, an AMD 780G Chipset, an AMD ID439D southbridge, according to CPU-Z.

I'm uploading couple more files, the reports from CPUID's HWMonitor. The program was able to successfully read and update the ACPI temperature consistently.

I recently upgraded my CPU to a dualcore, and installed the newest final release. The Core temp now works correctly. Temp1 is still, for all intents and purposes, constantly stuck.

It is also now detecting 3 fans (Or at least their supposed existence anyways, this laptop only has 1 fan, the CPU fan.) on a SB 7xx/8xx PM2 chip, whose range my SouthBridge would seem to fall into. (My southbridge, according to the service manual for this laptop, is an ATI SB710.)

However it is not detecting any speeds, and I am unable to change the speeds. The Advanced tab shows remarkably few options. Only the fan multi/div and the Reverse PWM logic options for all 3 detected fans exist.

All listed temps are now functioning correctly, but SpeedFan 4.44 is still not able to detect or control any fan speeds.
