| Description | A message pops up "Thread error: access is denied(5)" I have to bring up the task manager and kill speedfan. If I am not fast enough then the system hangs up. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Bring up another temperature monitoring program for nvidia gpu's such as EVGA precision. Very randomly, evga precision will lock up. When it does it eventually times out. When it times out then the speedfan dialog boxes start poping up. I need EVGA precision because it can set the cooling fans my my dual nvidia gtx250 & 9800gtx to 100%. I am running them for processing boinc data and the normaly temperature / fan control does not work since no game is playing. This has heppened twice in the last year. It may have happened more often but the system will reboot and I cannot be sure if the cause was the popups. | ||||
