Summary0001510: Proxy settings are not applying correctly as specified
DescriptionThe proxy settings entered on the "Internet" tab are not displaing in "Get Config" window at all. All corresponding boxes in "Get Config" window are still greyed and empty, nevertheless all of them have been entered on the "Internet" tab. "Use proxy" checkbox on the "Internet" tab is, indeed, marked. The message on the attempt to receive the configuration is: "Error receiving configuration (unknown error (unable to connect?))", and "An EXCEPTION has been raised trying to get the configuration: Proxy Authentification Required. Please report to alfredo@almico.com".
Local Windows XP firewall is disabled.
Steps To Reproduce1. Press "Configure" button, open "Internet" tab, mark "Use proxy" checkbox, and fill all the boxes required: "HTTP Proxy", "port", "Username", and "Password".
2. Press OK button.
3. Go to "Info" tab, and press the "Get config" button.
4. All the fields in the "Use proxy" section are greyed and empty, and "Use proxy" checkbox is unchecked. This way, the "configurations receipt", "send reports", and "In-depth online analysis of the hard-disk" functions are inaccessible.
5. Neither "Close/Open" SpeedFan application, nor PC restart help to fix these empty greyed fileds.
Additional InformationThe "InternetProxy=" value in the "speedfanparams.cfg" file contains 120 alpha-numeric symbols.
Local Windows XP firewall is disabled. PC is joined to the local domain, with Internet access controlled by local proxy server. PC gets dynamic domain-internal IP from local domain DHCP server. Internet works fine with corresponding settings specified in Internet Explorer browser. "xAP" tab settings show some "UID", "Hostname", etc. values, however, two IPs displaying seem to be "domain local". Maybe, this is the issue? Are, this way, the use of "Internet" functions of "SpeedFan" impossible on PCs in domains with dynamic IPs and Proxy?
