Summary0001505: Speedfan hangs computer on startup
DescriptionI recently had to replace my main hard drive. Upon reinstalling Windows and installing the latest Speedfan, my machine hangs upon launching Speedfan. I use an MSI RS480 main board, and Speedfan always worked for me in the past. I'd like to be able to download an old version and move on with my life, but I can't see them listed on the website. The last bit of the debug.nfo looks like this:
11/22/2009 11:53:28 PM - About to probe Areca RAID
11/22/2009 11:53:28 PM - temporary path is C:\DOCUME~1\user\LOCALS~1\Temp\

I see some command-line options, but none for removing Areca support. I assume that if I grab a version before 4.36, my problems will disappear.
Steps To ReproduceLaunch Speedfan.

This is very odd. Please try to run SpeedFan with /NOARECASCAN command line parameter.

I found a copy of v 4.28 from a moderately reputable download source. It works fine, so I'll just stick with it for the time being. Thanks.

In the absence of adequate regression testing, a download archive would be great. I'd prefer to download from almico.

Thanks,
