| Description | Speedfan starts up normally, reports correct temperatures etc and controls fans. After running for a short time program reports failure to read sensors. Exiting program and restarting results in Access violation at address 00487FE in Module 'speedfan.exe'. Read of address FFFFFFFF. After which speedfan process must be terminated in Task Manager, normal controls fail to work, speedfan shows: Win9x:NO 64Bit:NO GiveIO:YES SpeedFan:YES I/O properly initialized Linked ISA BUS at $0290 | ||||

Try to run SpeedFan with the /NOGIVEIO command line parameter. Do you use any virtualization tool, like Sun VirtualBox? |

I use Sun VirtualBox to run LinuxMint on work machine. I only use this machine 3 days a week, so will attempt /NOGIVEIO switch tommorrow. Will report results then. |
