Summary | 0001259: No software can obtain onboard sensors readings until I open MSI's "Core Center" | ||||
Description | I've got Fujitsu Siemens 7031 mobo (produced by MSI), hope that all drivers are installed... Unfortunately Speedfan or any other monitoring software can't reach onboard sensors. But I can open MSI's Core Center... and after that Speedfan can reach the sensors. It's problematic, cause Core Center uses lots of procesors time as monitoring app (about 9-15 unnecessary seconds of processor's time at startup...) and I don't use it, so I close it every startup. I have no idea why it happens that way... If there exists any solution, I would be thankful :) Sensor chip: "SuperIO Chip=Winbond W83627THF" | ||||

I got four Fujitsu-Siemens MS-7031 (MSI RS350M) all have this wird problem with sensors. In fact, MSI`s Core Conter activates sensors on this board. I got same problem under linux (lm_sensors) I sent U two raport one before Core Center and one after. |

Please, upload two reports (using SpeedFan's SEND REPORT (INFO tab) button you can generate them, then copy&paste to a TXT and finally use the UPLOAD function here). One report when SpeedFan can't find the hardware monitor chip and one when it can. |

Hi again, lm_sensors devs found a solution for this board: write 0x295 to PCI device 00:14.3 register 0x64 ten set bit 4 of register 0x48 this will enable access to 0x290-0x297 pls add this to speedfan too |
