| Description | When I double click a speedfan shortcut, nothing happens. Same thing happens when double clicking a speedfan.exe executable. It just shows for a second in task manager and closes. It is the first time that I hear about such an issue. I assume you are not running under terminal server, nor within a virtualization box. I assume you have admin rights too. Right now I'm not at my main PC, but you can search online for some older versions. I just tried with "SpeedFan 4.24" and could easily find it. You might try to download, install and run SpeedFan 4.22, 4.28 and 4.31. |

NVCPL.dll is a part of the nvidia driver. Do you have an ATI or Nvidia card? Have you tried deleting all graphic driver parts completely and installing it again? Have you tried the latest beta? Also, you should try to disable all background applications temporarily. |

The error opening NVCPL.DLL is a non blocking error. It should rather be a warning. There must be something else that causes SpeedFan to unexpectedly stop. DEBUG.NFO file contains a lot of debug information, but it looks like that the cause of this unexpected stop is completely new. This means that basically nobody encountered it before. When SpeedFan starts, it creates some threads. This makes it a little bit more difficult to trace the exact place where the error occurs. I need to write a beta that removes some parts in the initialization sequence. I will be back at my main PC early next week. |
