Did you have a look at the "How to get the best out of SpeedFan's events" article available at http://www.almico.com/sfarticles.php ? Events work fine, but I agree that if you need to update one you need to understand which is the sequence of keys that needs to be pressed.

thanks for your response, I really appreciate.

I finally found the culprit : the service to do popup is stop, so no popup.
And I don't know about the beep, but that's probably the same.

What I did is execute my own .bat to do something, and this works.

Thanks for your help.

You may put in the doc what service need to be started to allow popup and maybe beep ?
How is it working about rights ? Is speedfan events use the same user as who launch it ?

Yes, the user is the same as the one used to run SpeedFan. I didn't know that the popup service was a service, and that it could make sense to stop it. But it's MS, after all :-)

If your command is "net send" based, then yes, it's based on a service : Messenger Service.
It seems that it's disabled by default since XP SP2.
look here for info : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messenger_Service

I just a very weird problem : the <= check works but not < alone !

You can close this issue, thanks again !

Also, if you need info on my motherboard, you're welcome to ask, it doesn't seem to be popular...

On my Vista (unfortunately, I had to install Vista...) Business, popup messages are enabled by default. I will investigate.
I just checked and both "<" and "<=" are working fine for me. I checked the source code too and I see no reason why this shouldn't be.
Please, give me some more info on this issue.
About the motherboard, please, use the SEND REPORT facility, then drop me a reminder (I receive a lot of reports each day).

about < and <=, I can't recreate the problem, I guess I miss something about "allow every" option.
It's working as expected now.

I dream of a script option so I can say : execute myscript.bat when cputemp > 60 and cputemp < 65.

REPORT sent, you'll be happy to see that it's a new mobo, and speedfan do not report a good total ram ;-)

Please, send me a report using SpeedFan 4.35 beta (I just released it). You might add, in the notes, a reference to this issue id.
When I will have the time, I will greatly improve events. What you would like to achieve is already inside SpeedFan. I just need to write a simple interface :-)

Report sent with 4.35 beta 15 .
Of course I missed to include a note to reference to this issue id...
