DescriptionI use Vista as normal user (not admin) and when I start Speedfan, the screen goes black for a split second and is then normal again - this time I got a totally screwed screen (picture), I could use everything but I had to click on the position where the controls (start menu, buttons...) NORMALLY are, so bottom left for "start".
I don't have problems every time I start Speedfan - it's random.
When I want to scan the SMBUS (send report) it takes very long - more infos after I try it again in a minute...
Steps To ReproduceMaybe a combination of GPU and VIsta x64? No idea!
Additional InformationI'll try some more things now but wanted to send this report first :)

I added a report
- when Speedfan created the report it ran without problems this time

when I go to the options and deselect some temperature readings, the program hangs and the main window spits out messages of this type:

SMBus msg : Unsuccessful SELB $25 to $... (window too small to read more)
$26 .. $2F
$76 .. $7C

I'll try disabling SMBUS now

well, the parts that didn't work are diabled now - so everything works ;)

oh and btw.: I have GPU temp. because it's read from somewhere else (PCI shown in column bus)

the values that are now missing are some voltage and RPM values (didn't use them anyway) and some temperatures with -128

I see that you have an ADT7463 on your graphic card. I'm working to improve support for the I2C bus on nVidia, but there are several tools that are accessing it and it will make things a little bit more difficult.

yep, that's the part that made problems :)
When I start Speedfan without /NONVIDIAI2C this sensor is not probed and everything works - do you save this option so it's automatically set everytime after I set it once?

EDIT: Interesting, after a restart the "missing" sensor (deactivated by nonvidiai2c) is there again
I started speedfan with /nonvidiai2c, then without - without sensor both times!
After the restart (without /nonvidiai2c) the sensor is back again
Is this a bug?

I think it's a timeout due to the previous bad access to the I2C.
