Summary0002339: No fan control with intel HECI on Q35/ICH9 mainboard w. Q9400 CPU
DescriptionI'm running an old server from Advantec with Q35 chipset and Q9400 Core2Quad CPU. In the beginning, Speedfan didn't display any fan speeds. I managed it to install the intel HECI driver "HECIx64.sys" V. for the intel Management Engine Interface. Now at least the CPU fan speed is shown (0001407:0004800 RPM). But I still can not influence this speed.

Looking to "Configure"->"Advanced"->"Chip" I can see "Intel QST 1.x at $0 on HECI" in the list, but not a newer version?!

Southbridge is intel ICH9

I also tried to enable "Intel AMT support" in the southbridge config in BIOS, but this made no difference.
