Summary0002523: Speedfan doesn't read RPM less than 700 on Noctua S12A
DescriptionOn the fan Noctua S12A-PWM, if the speed is set to less than ≈ 700 ≈ 45%, Speedfan, all recent versions, reads it to be 0. The fan obviously does rotate below, and is read normally in BIOS and HWmonitor. Moreover, when having launched HWmonitor, Speedfan starts to read the normal speed too. So i was wondering maybe Speedfan doesn't make all necessary initiation, that surfaces only with this fan? Speedfan did read RPM normally when i used it with Scythe slipstream fans, but not Noctua. (Noctua's people think it is a software issue, by the way.) Maybe you can check the sources of HWmonitor, maybe they have something extra that you deemed unneeded?....
Steps To ReproduceAttach Noctua S12A-PWM fan.
Setup Speedfan.

With my Vardar 240 F3's Speedfan reports 0 RPM if I set the fans to less than 25% despite the fact that they are still spinning.

“HWmonitor”, what i meant, was check the sources of “Open hardware monitor”, because that's what is accessible, but i checked on HWmonitor and Open H. M., both have the same.
