Summary0002368: Fans to minimal after sleep
DescriptionAfter setting my fans to manual control (I needed 100% speed) putting the PC to sleep and waking it up, the fans are set to their minimum speed instead of 100% set by me. Applies to different speed settings, it always returns to minimum speeds after sleep.
Got my CPU to 120°C until I noticed ;-)
Steps To ReproduceSet manual speed.
Put to sleep.
Wake up.

There's something wrong with 120 degrees by Celsius on CPU, because it's impossible for any known CPU to heat up over 105 (automatic shutdown after throttling) with Intel and about 70 (automatic shutdown or BSOD/errors) with AMD CPU. And you absolutely have to check radiator and thermal interface.
I know, it's not about software, but you should begin with your hardware first.

Sorry, MaxusR, but I probably don't follow...

I get the idea of reaching such temp is unlikely, but 70 for my Phenom is quite usual temp.

On the other hand I'm not sure what you mean by checking radiator and thermal interface...
