Summary0001918: Dell Optiplex 980: Fan RPM shows but % is at 0?
DescriptionSince 4.46 beta 2 was working so well on my Optiplex XE I thought I'd try it on my Optiplex 980. But, id does not show ANY fans at all.

After completly writing up this ticket, I realized that I had not turned on 'Enable DELL Support'. Once I did that, it saw a fan upon restart of Speedfan.

But, the % shows at 0 (zero). I can change it manually, the % shown changes, and the fan will speed up (speed control works).

Feature Suggestion: have Speedfan autodetect if it is a Dell and turn on the option - or put the option both in the install process, and on the first screen upon loading so people don't forget :)

Steps To ReproduceInstall & Run - don't change any of the config

This problem still exists in 4.46 beta 6

Speed control does not work when loaded, even when set to automatic.

Fan speed shows 0

The only way to get it to work is to manually click the arrow buttons to change the # next to the fan's speed... then the app takes over properly to adjust the speed automatically.
